Proportional Scale

Resizing an image?  The proportional Scale for the iPhone and iPod touch is just the application for you.  The proportion scale will take any image size and determine what new a new image size should be.

This app is especially useful for printers, photographers, artists, and any one who resizes images.

This proportional scale is easy to use, and features the ability to resize your image by a factor of enlargement or reduction.  Also if an absolute dimension is desired then enter it in the reproduction size location, and the factor of multiplication will be calculated.

In print production determining new dimensions in resizing images can be a tedious task.  To figure out the new dimension a proportional scale will be used, even then a reading it inaccurately is very easy.  The Proportional Scale App takes the error out of these calculations.

Instructions:

1) Enter the size of the original image.

2) Enter the how much you would like it enlarged or reduced. or enter one dimension of the reproduction size.

3) The new image (reproduction) size is calculated for you.

Special Options:

Use fractions, they can be in one of the following forms:

1)  Whole Number plus a fraction:  3+1/2

2)  Single Fraction:  7/2

3)  Whole number separated by a colon then a fraction:  3:1/2

The Proportional scale will accept fractions, however will output everything in decimals.

The Arrow Button:

This button switches the dimension that is editable on the new reproduction  size.
